Kirk's eyes narrowed, lending his long face a feral cast. His blond hair had begun to gray, and the lines around his hazel eyes were deeper than they had been the last time Chris had seen his foster brotherthe time he'd broken Kirk's nose. "I don't take orders from you, McCall," Kirk sneered. "Never have and never will. You may have beaten me once, but you won't again. Next time I'll be ready for you." |
